Our fifth event will focus on 'Advancing Obesity Research and Innovation in Scotland', an area of significant interest and one in which Scotland is internationally renowned.

In Scotland, two-thirds of adults are overweight or live with obesity, and many children are at risk of being overweight or living with obesity. Addressing this major public health challenge is vital to reducing chronic illnesses like cardiovascular disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, and some cancers. This event will explore research into the real-world impact of innovative weight-loss medicines and treatments and provide an opportunity for networking and collaboration across the triple-helix. This will include life scientists, health professionals, engineers, regulators, policy makers, investors, patients and the public.

We welcome researchers, innovators and other stakeholders from these or related disciplines who are interested in health to attend and take part in our continued growth in this area.

Individuals at any stage of their career are welcome, but those in the early/mid stages of their careers may find this event particularly useful.
