Ophthalmology Trainee Research Award

The Ophthalmology Specialty Group are pleased to announce the launch of the Ophthalmology Trainee Research Award (OTRA), funded in partnership between Santen, the Chief Scientist Office (CSO) and NHS Fife.
The OTRA will provide funding to support Scottish Ophthalmology Trainees in developing a research portfolio within their post. The award provides funding for protected time to contribute to, conduct and lead ophthalmology research. This will strengthen the research culture and increase research capacity within ophthalmology. The scheme will support them for one year, from April 2017.
The deadline for applications is Friday 27th January at midday. Applications should be submitted to jillianstrachan@nhs.net.
