Vaccine Trials in Scotland
The Chief Scientist Office (CSO), NHS Research Scotland and Health Boards worked closely with the UK Vaccines Taskforce to bring a range of vaccine trials to Scotland, the impact of which have been felt across the UK and around the world.
Vaccine trials delivered in Scotland, which translated into real-world care, included
- Janssen Phase 3 study
- Novavax Phase 3 study
- University of Oxford / AstraZeneca Phase 3 study
- Medicago Phase 3 study
- Pfizer-BioNTech (pregnant women) Phase 2/3 study
- Cov-Boost (booster vaccine) study
It is important that we continue other clinical trials into COVID-19 vaccines and treatments.
